It's about that time again...
If you love a good neighborhood parade then pump up those tricycle tires, dust off your wagons, start planning out your bike decorations and mark your calendars for 10 a.m. Saturday, July 3rd. That's when the fun begins at the corner of Ravenhurst and Prestonwood Forest Drive.
Last year’s parade was great and all the participants looked fantastic, let’s see if we can out-do ourselves again this year. Bring out your bicycles, strollers, motorized vehicles, anything you can dress up and make festive on this fun and celebratory day. All entries are welcome and encouraged.
Hope to see you out there!

Wow! Can you believe the 2009 Nite of Lites celebration has come and gone? Again, the evening was a big success! Thank you to all of the residents that participated this year. We were sad to see that overall participation was significantly lower than years past and we hope that either the economy or the weather is to blame. We were excited to see that some residents even stepped up their decorating!
Congratulations to all the winners of the 2009 Nite of Lites celebration! Your hard work and commitment are exemplary! Winners were:
Best Block - 8200 Middlebury

To All Residents of Prestonwood Forest:
It’s that time again! The holidays are just around the corner and some of us are already getting excited about participating in the 31+ year tradition of Prestonwood’s Nite of Lites celebration.
For our new residents that don’t know, PWF has been spotlighted in all local newspapers (major and minor), all local television stations, The Travel Channel and last year, our wonderful neighborhood was spotlighted on Fox News which broadcasts nationwide! That was quite an honor for all of us and now it’s up to each and every one of us to uphold the reputation that PWF has obtained by being the “Christmas Lights Neighborhood”.
This year's Nite of Lites officially begins on Saturday, December 12th and will end on January 3rd. |

Prestonwood observed Independence Day 2009 with our traditional neighborhood parade. We marched right down the middle of Prestonwood Forest Drive and ended at the clubhouse where the fire trucks cooled the hot Summer air for everyone by making it rain. Click here to see photos of some of the fun. |

The Prestonwood Forest Maintenance Association Board of Directors on behalf of the entire subdivision would like to thank Russell May and Tina Lizmi for organizing and leading the effort to another successful Nite of Lites. The neighborhood felt a real sense of pride and togetherness.
The 2008 Nite of Lites committee helped instill a little friendly competition and encouraged increased participation in Christmas (Holiday) decorating. Again, a special thank you to Russell, Tina and all the dedicated volunteers who gave of their time to help continue a Prestonwood tradition.
