2016 July 4th Parade and Festivities

Prestonwood Forest Residents are reminded to mark their calendars for more neighborhood fun on Monday, July 4th with the neighborhood parade, picnic and children's pool games!

The Parade

The Parade Committee begins organizing the parade lineup at 9:40 a.m. at the corner of Ravenhurst Lane and Prestonwood Forest Drive. All residents are invited to bring their bicycles, tricycles, strollers, wagons, motorized vehicles, and decorate everything (and everyone) in the 'red, white and blue' to ‘roll and stroll’ in our wonderful neighborhood tradition!

We are pleased to again have the Knights of Columbus Color Guard leading the Parade and excited about hosting our first responders from the Precinct 4 Constable’s Office and Cypress-Creek Volunteer Fire Department (be prepared to get wet after the Parade!)

Clubhouse Pool - Special Hours and Activities

Residents are reminded to bring their 'Recreation Access Cards' to the parade, because Pool 1 (Clubhouse Pool) opens early at 10:00 am. Lifeguard-directed pool games are planned for the neighborhood children, at Pool 1, and DJ music is scheduled to add to pool festivities. (Pool II's schedule will follow the standard hours of operation).

July 4th Neighborhood Picnic

Following the Parade, residents are invited to a traditional Independence Day picnic treat. James Coney Island will return this year, courtesy of your Prestonwood Forest Utility District and Prestonwood Forest Maintenance Association.

Please stop by the Tennis Deck starting at 10:30 for your favorite chili, cheese (or however you like it) hot dog, chips and a soda! Food services will conclude at 12:30 (or earlier if supplies are exhausted.)

July 4thParade Route & Parking

The Parade begins on Prestonwood Forest Drive at Ravenhurst Lane and ends at Glencliffe Lane at the Hancock School parking lot.

(Please Do Not Park along the parade route as this will impede parade traffic.)

Happy Independence Day!
