The Pool-2 facility will open the 2022 swim season, for our residents’ enjoyment, with a fresh look following necessary renovations to address specific issues and improve residents’ overall satisfaction of the facility.

 

The Pool-2 Facility Renovation project is necessary to provide a long-term solution to the damaged caused by Hurricane Harvey flooding. This includes removing multiple layers of old plaster, and applying new plaster that will properly bond with the gunite base for a long-lasting, strong, waterproof seal. After Harvey, multiple short-term solutions were applied at Pool-2, including temporary plaster patches, while a permanent long-term solution was researched, bid and included in the capital improvements budget.

 

The following pictures illustrate the significant work-in-progress of removing the many old layers of plaster, before the new plaster is applied. We are looking forward to re-opening the updated facility in the spring for our residents’ enjoyment!
