Cul-de-sac ‘Island’ Maintenance
Prestonwood Forest has 20 landscaped ‘islands’ in the center cul-de-sacs. Several of these islands are meticulously landscaped and maintained by residents of the block - who prefer to enhance the appeal of their cul-de-sac with desired greenery, ground cover and seasonal color.
Because cul-de-sac ‘islands’ are not constructed with irrigation systems, the remaining islands, which are maintained by the Association’s landscaping vendor, are typically landscaped with mature trees and drought tolerant shrubs.
Residents who are interested in assuming ownership of their street’s cul-de-sac ‘island’ are encouraged to contact the Maintenance Board through this site’s Contact Us
link or by attending the monthly Maintenance Board meeting
(1st Thursday). This coordination is important in order to ensure that the Association’s contracted maintenance does not conflict with the resident’s landscaping activities.
