Pool Area Rules and Regulations

POOL IS ONLY FOR PRESTONWOOD FOREST RESIDENTS AND THEIR ACCOMPANIED GUESTS.

EACH ACCESS CARD WILL ENABLE ENTRY OF UP TO NO MORE THAN TWELVE (12) PERSONS TO ENTER THE POOL FACILITY, SUBJECT TO THE MAXIMUM SAFE CAPACITY OF THE POOL.

THERE MUST BE AN ADULT OF EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS OR OLDER FOR EVERY TWO (2) CHILDREN ELEVEN (11) YEARS OF AGE OR UNDER WHO AGREES TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BEHAVIOR AND SAFETY OF THE CHILD OR CHILDREN WHILE THEY ARE IN THE POOL AREA.

SWIM SUITS ONLY IN POOL. NO CUT-OFFS, JOGGING SHORTS OR COTTON T-SHIRTS.

INFANTS MUST WEAR SWIM DIAPERS AND MUST BE CHANGED ONCE EVERY 30 MINUTES TO AN HOUR, AS A PRECAUTION.

DISPOSABLE DIAPERS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED IN THE POOL OR ON THE SPLASH PAD.

NO INNER-TUBES, FLOATS, FLIPPERS OR BALLS IN THE POOL AREA. SMALL CHILDREN ARE PERMITTED THE USE OF SAFETY FLOATATION DEVICES.

NO GLASS CONTAINERS IN THE POOL AREA.

NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AND NO SMOKING INSIDE THE POOL AREA.

NO BICYCLES, SKATEBOARDS, SKATES, OR SCOOTERS IN THE POOL AREA OR ON WALKWAYS. ALL BICYCLES MUST BE LOCKED IN THE BICYCLE RACK. STROLLERS MUST BE PROPERLY SECURED AT A SAFE DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE POOL, AT ALL TIMES.

NO ANIMALS INSIDE THE POOL AREA WITH THE EXCEPTION OF TRAINED, CERTIFIED SERVICE DOGS.

SERVICE / ASSISTANCE DOGS ARE ALLOWED ON DECK BUT NOT IN THE WATER.

NO RUNNING, PUSHING OR HAZARDOUS HORSEPLAY.

NO FOOD, DRINKS, PAPER OR GUM IN THE POOL WATER OR ON THE SPLASH PAD.

LIFEGUARDS ARE EMPLOYED FOR THE SAFETY OF THE RESIDENTS AND THEIR GUESTS. THEY HAVE FULL AUTHORITY TO ENFORCE ANY AND ALL POOL RULES AND SUSPEND RESIDENT/GUESTS POOL PRIVILEGES FOR A PERIOD TO BE DETERMINED BY THE OFFENSE. SHOULD RESIDENT/GUESTS REFUSE TO LEAVE THE FACILITY BECAUSE OF A VIOLATION; LIFEGUARDS HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO CONTACT LAW ENFORCEMENT AND/OR MANAGEMENT TO ASSIST IN RESOLVING THE ISSUE.

THE ASSOCIATION WILL NOT TOLERATE DISRESPECT TO THE LIFEGUARDS OR ANY PERSON OF AUTHORITY WHO IS ENFORCING THE RULES.

THERE MAY BE A 10-MINUTE MAINTENANCE AND GUARD BREAK EVERY HOUR. ALL SWIMMERS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE MUST BE OUT OF THE WATER.

IN THE EVENT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER, LIFEGUARDS HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO CLOSE THE POOL AND CLEAR THE POOL PREMISES BASED ON GUIDELINES OF THE AMERICAN RED CROSS AND THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF LIGHTNING.

Violators will be denied pool privileges andtheir ‘Recreation Access Card’ suspended.

 

Splash Pad Rules

1

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST CONDUCT THEMSELES IN A COURTEOUS, SAFE AND FAMILY ORIENTED MANNER.

CHILDREN MUST HAVE ADULT SUPERVISION AT ALL TIMES.
THE LIFEGUARD IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR MONITORING CHILDREN ON OR AROUND THE SPLASH PAD.

INFANTS MUST WEAR SWIM DIAPERS AND MUST BE CHANGED ONCE EVERY 30 MINUTES TO AN HOUR, AS A PRECAUTION.

POSTED POOL RULES REGARDING PROPER SWIM ATTIRE ALSO APPLIES TO SPLASH PAD.
ONLY ‘WATER SHOES’ OR BARE FEET ARE ALLOWED ON THE SPLASH PAD SURFACE.

NO CLIMBING ON THE STRUCTURES.

TO START THE SPRAY PARK: TOUCH THE SENSOR PAD ON TOP OF THE RED PEDESTAL.

PLEASE REPORT ALL ISSUES AND CONCERNS TO THE LIFEGUARDS.

 

Water Slide Rules

1

SLIDE FEET FIRST ONLY, STARTING FROM A SEATED POSITION.  DO NOT SLIDE HEAD FIRST.

DO NOT JUMP OR DIVE FROM ANY PART OF THE SLIDE.

NO ROUGHHOUSING OR HORSEPLAY ON OR NEAR THE SLIDE.

CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES WHEN USING THE SLIDE.

NON-SWIMMERS SHALL NOT USE THE SLIDE. FLOATATION DEVICES ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE SLIDE.

ONLY ONE PERSON ALLOWED ON THE SLIDE AT A TIME. THE MAXIMUM INDIVIDUAL WEIGHT IS 325 LBS.

HOLD ON TO HANDRAILS AT ALL TIMES WHEN USING THE STAIRS.

FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH THE SHAPE OF THE POOL BOTTOM AND THE WATER DEPTH BEFORE YOU SLIDE.
SLIDE FEET FIRST ONLY.

DO NOT SLIDE UNTIL ALL OBSTACLES AND OTHER SWIMMERS ARE CLEAR OF THE SLIDER’S PATHWAY.

STAY CLEAR OF THE SLIDE RUNWAY EXIT WHILE SWIMMING.
EXIT THE POOL DEEP END IMMEDIATELY AFTER SLIDING.

ONLY PERSONS HEALTHY ENOUGH FOR WATER ACTIVITIES SHOULD USE THE SLIDE. PERSONS WITH MEDICAL CONDITIONS, INCLUDING PREGNANCY, SHOULD CONSULT THEIR DOCTOR BEFORE USING THE SLIDE. PERSONS WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES SHOULD USE CAUTION. DO NOT USE THE SLIDE IF ANY PART BECOMES DAMAGED, WEAKENED OR BROKEN.
