2016 ‘Fall Festival’ Thanks and Photos Print E-mail
Prestonwood Forest Fall Festival

Prestonwood Forest’s 2nd Annual Fall Festival, on Saturday October 1, was another popular family-focused event for our neighborhood community. The event was successful due to the tremendous resident involvement, from the many weeks of event planning through event cleanup, and distinguishes Prestonwood Forest as a unique and desirable family neighborhood. Many thanks to all of our neighbors who worked both ‘behind the scenes’ and during the event, for their generous commitment with their time and energy to make this neighborhood event possible.
A few of the many special recognitions would have to include: all on the Prestonwood Flyers Board and their families for a multitude of contributions – including event setup, promoting the neighborhood swim team, organizing children’s piñata event, and for the swim team’s unique and well-received ‘Fall Photo Studio’, that resulted in many memorable family photos; Block Captains Bonnie O’Neill and Edna Gunn for promoting National Night Out and the block captains organization; Barbara Hogan for her leadership in promoting 2016 ‘Nite of Lites’; the entire Dunavin family for many contributions, the most visible was assisting with event food services and distributing the delicious Chick-fil-A sandwiches; and Maintenance Association directors Jesse Green, Luis Dunavin, and Larry Hogan for their tireless contributions throughout the day.
In addition to the resident volunteers, a special thanks is also extended to our Constables for their valued presence at the Fall Festival representing Precinct 4 and their exceptional communication with Prestonwood residents - of all ages; HEB for the generous donations and for entertaining the children with H-E-Buddy; and to High Sierra Management’s Sherri Carey for working vigorously ‘behind the scene’ with many of the Event’s planning and procurement tasks.
